Ice Age Floods There are many different kinds of glaciers. A glacier is a large mass of ice. The two types of glaciers are continental glacier and the valley glacier. A continental glacier is a large glacier that covers a large part of land. Continual glaciers cover 10% of the land on earth. A valley glacier is built off of continental glaciers, its’ a long and narrow glacier. The sides of mountains keep the glacier from spreading more. They can be found on a lot of high mountains. Continental glaciers covered large parts of the earths surface many time in the past.
