Then we’ll interview Ben Morrison (Art Director), and ask him questions relating to the characterisation, which is present in ‘Frontline’ such as the caricature that is perceived in the show. Bring up points about the credibility of journalism and how journalists are being seen as whether it is their image that is a concern or he actual news presenting, and how ‘Frontline’ uses satire to exaggerate and point out what they will do to get ratings. A lot of the show will be focusing on how ‘Frontline’ base themselves on ratings and how they play such an important role in succeeding on ‘Frontline’ news. Interviewing the cast from ‘CNNNN’, another satire that is currently also on the ABC network that is based on the real life news team CNN, the show using great amount of caricature to make their point across to the viewer. Then at the end of the week’s program we will be comparing the two programs and give our opinion on the two shows, critically analysing each aspect of the satires. Throughout the week ‘The Siege’ will be watched over and over to pick up new ideas about the show incase the analysts have not picked up on something allowing them to get the full picture in great detail and try to expose what the cast from ‘Frontline’ are trying to portray in that episode and then ask them to see how well we did, the purpose of this is see if that the message is getting across with the use of these literal components. Also in this weeks coming up show, we bring in a crew from ‘Frontline’ to talk about their camera techniques, and how their filming was very unique. Guests- The guests that we will have on the program are as mentioned before, the directors of the television series Rob Sitch, Tom Gleisner, Jane Kennedy and Santo Cilauro. They will be talking about ‘Frontline’s’ representation and truth, about how being bombarded with messages from every broadcasting stations, if they can be trusted and if we can believe what we are being told, and how Frontline makes out a powerful, and comic, case. Relentlessly mocking the idea that commercial television is a reliable purveyor of information.
