Human reproduction is only human nature and morally it would be wrong to think of stopping it or slowing it down. Williams is telling us not to think morally but realistically. She says; “Babies are one thing. human beings are another. We have way too many human beings”. Well it is obvious that this is the problem, but I don’t agree with her way of dealing with it. What she is asking for is unrealistic. The stop of babies will not happen. Williams says we are being selfish; because we want to continue to have our future hopefuls for a better life, our offspring to the future, this is what our lives revolve around and Williams calls it “sentimentality” and a “global death wish”. Humans have been doing this since the beginning of life, how can we think of this as a wrongful thing. This world is what it is today because of human reproduction, the way of life. We would not even be alive if it was not for this course in nature. I feel that Williams needs to watch what she says because this is “life” she is talking about. It is one of natures miracles, something we should not take it for granted. Who is to say that what we are doing is right? We only know what we do and how we feel afterwards. We are human, mortal, we have limits in everything and our time limit is running out. We are not sure what we are here for or why life is what it is, but in life our responsibility is to take care of the ones that are closest to us. We as humans are to establish a family, in which we will teach and help each other survive this “life”, this period of existence which includes a grate amount of obligations to maintain in order to live right within society. That is our nature and one of the few things we are sure about. What makes one act in the ways they do is their emotional over view on the matter, and how they will feel before and after their doings. The most important thing to a husband and wife is their creation of life, their baby. The most ecstatic time in a person’s life, no one would even think about giving up this freedom for anything. That’s the key word, “freedom”, what no one wants to give up. It’s all about this word because no one is sure of what they want. The freedom to give life...
