Junior was about three years old when he entered nursery school. At the age of about five, he went into kindergarten and also went to church every Sunday. One Sunday, an evangelist came to their church, and talked to everyone. The guest invited anyone, who wanted to, to join the church. Junior’s sister was the first to join. He wasn’t going to let his sister get ahead of him, though. So, he joined the church, too. When he was six he went into the first grade, but still focused most of his time on the Biblical studies at church, and in Sunday school up until he was about twelve or thirteen. Focusing so much on it, he denied the resurrection of Jesus, and shocked his Sunday school class. Entering college at fifteen, Junior realized what he had learned in Sunday school, had nothing to do with what he was he was learning in college. That is, until he took a course in bible study. Although, there were a couple of incidents that effected his religious development before entering college. His grandmother, who he cared for very dearly, died when he was about nine years old. She helped to raise all three grandchildren. Junior didn’t want to believe that she was gone even though his parents tried explaining it to him.
