A really interesting information that the book expressed was that the character wants to commit suicide and cut herself to do so is because she wants to release the pain that has been crawling in her. It describes that it is an adrenaline rush to cut yourself and it sort of feels exciting. After I completed reading the book, I started to think. I chose this topic as my paper very thoroughly because I want to know what the first signs are when a person feels that they want to suicide. What are some of the extreme tactics that victims take to kill themselves. I want to know why they feel they way they do and do victims recover from the condition and become survivors. The sources that I will be looking into are message boards on the internet with anonymous victims posting their messages. I also want to call suicide hotlines such as the Suicide Prevention Center and ask them a few questions about how they aid and guide the victims through their disorders. I would also want to visit a rehabilitation center to see the environment and atmosphere that a suicidal victim would live to try to recover and see how the workers treat them.
