...s offering. This particular meeting was strictly an informative meeting and to give and new or interested guys a view of events to come and what Delta Chi is all about. The President and board members held the meeting and gave reasons on why to join. They were very organized and I think did a great job of promoting the frat. Some of those reasons were; to get more than enough hours of community service to make sure you have them before you graduate, to be part of a brotherhood and have lifelong friends (not only in Whitewater but all over America), of course the whole partying thing they added in there, to have someone to turn to whenever you need, to be able to tell people that you are a part of something and wear the symbols on clothes that no one else can do if they are not in the frat, and finally to meet a lot of new people all the time. I am not very sure about how the organization got started but I think that like most frats and sororities it started when the school was built and they made the frat to keep the tradition of “college frats.” I chose to attend this meeting because I knew a few people who were already in the frat and told me it was okay to sit in on the meeting. I wanted to also get an idea of what a frat and sororities are all about here in Whitewater. I didn’t have enough time to go to a sorority meeting, and I didn’t know any...
