There are two kinds of networks created by institutions, and they are organizational and interpersonal networks. Organizational networks consist of relationships among the organizations. Interpersonal networks exist among the individual’s common organizational affiliations. Many affiliates of common economic status belong to the same clubs. This reveals that they are part of a common social network. This includes schools, balls, and other social functions. Powerful owners and managers are part of the upper class, and they create a network of social institutions made up of wealthy families and high-level corporate leaders. These social institutions provide patterned opportunities for the wealthy to maintain their elite status. This patterned conduct is conditioned at birth.
