Delegation of reponsibilties to the appropriate persons is very important to perform effectively .in the case of educational institutions. as we have seen here, the director formed a comitee and delegated responsibilities. since this committee found it difficult to arrive at decisions, they formed another sub commitee and delegated the issues to them.this is an eg of upward delegation. However in case of corporate organizations, the delegations is always from the top. Self expression is the freedom to express one self. In an institution, it helps the members to come forth with innovative and creative ideas, which help build their self confidence and self esteem.in an organization also, self expression helps people come forth with their views as well as express their difficulties in performing the task assigned. Teamwork is an integral part of any institution and organization .it instigates participation amongst all the members and helps them perform their jobs in the best possible manner. In this case, the people were given responsibilities by ravi matthai but no authority .objections and complains were raised by the senior faculty members who felt that it was difiicult to carry on the work without adequate authority. Mr.matthai had a different opinion abt this. He felt that the same could be achieved thru persuasion. however, in the case of an organization authority and responsibility go hand in hand toachieve the objectives and it is difficult to operate without authority. 4th slide ravi matthai created and nurtured a professional culture and sustained the self renewing process in the institute. He wanted his faculty members to be aware and get involved in the various functions involved in the operation of the academic institutions.
