...r. Her father is always there for her to help her through the hard times, and is there to support and congratulate her on her biggest achievements and her successes. She loves him dearly as a friend, and worships him as a father. Her father is the only real parental figure in her life, since she was just a little child. Her mother died when she was a little girl, spending most of her life in an insane asylum. Trudi’s mother was not a well woman. She alienated Trudi from everyone, and because of that, she never really had many friends. Gertrude Montag and Leo Montag both loved their daughter very much, but they could do nothing about her social situation. They wanted so desperately for Trudi to be happy, but nothing could help her after her mother died. When her mother finally accepted her, they were inseparable. Everything they did was with one another. They were happy. When Trudi’s mother died, Trudi would not do anything. She was heartbroken. Her father tried to fill in the gap of her mother, but nothing seemed to work. That is when her father decided to buy her a puppy. The puppy brought her happiness and a friend. That friend however was not true. Soon after, Trudi was left by herself once again. Friends came, and friends went, but Trudi always found a way to have fun.
