...that I thought was interesting to read. I guess you could say that I did have some emotions on this story, because when I was reading it, I didn’t really look deep into the story, it didn’t interest me very much. When we had our class discussion on this story, everyone was telling what the story meant to them, and the whole time I was just sitting there thinking this story dosen’t really mean anything to me. It might have been different if I knew what was going on in the story but I wasn’t really sure. I could sit hear and make up a lie about some of the feelings that I had about the story, but that wouldn’t make me feel very well. I felt as if the story was just a story and nothing else, just something that someone felt like writing. The reason Richard Shelton wrote this could be one of many. Maybe just to get people talking about all the different meanings people have on it. Or maybe something happened in his life that he felt he had to write a story on stones. When I read this story, I was thinking of what it meant to me, which was basically about some old stones, referring to elders or parents, just looking down on the young ones watching them from day to day maybe even getting jealous about what all the younger kids have now in days, do to technology. I’m not going to sit here explain what I thought the story meant. I’m just going to say what I feel. I feel that this story was a waste of time, because I don’t really care what other people think on this story. I read it, and that was it.
