The hero also usually has a quest to complete. Luke Skywalker, the hero in Star Wars, demonstrates these characteristics. Luke proves these aspects with his leadership abilities against the empire. Luke, with his knowledge of flying and his quest to learn the "force" helps him to defeat the empire. Another example of an archetypal character in Star Wars is the helping character. The helping character is somewhat a sidekick to the hero, providing knowledge and guidance without being the main character. Characters such as King Arthur's Merlin, or Lieutenant Dan of Forest Gump are prime examples of helping characters. In Star Wars Ben Kenobi, was a major helping character.
