space and time
...ity with Quantum Theory. Stephen figured out one consequence of such a unification that black holes should not be completely black, but should emit radiation and eventually evaporate and disappear. He also said that the universe has no edge or boundary in imaginary time. This would imply that the way the universe began was completely determined by the laws of science. Stephen Hawking knows what he’s talking about with twelve honorary degrees, the CBE award in 1982, and he was made a Companion of Honor in 1989. He has many awards, medals, and prizes and is a Fellow of the Royal Society and a member of the US National Academy of Sciences. Stephen William Hawking is definitely one the great minds that stand out in our world with his amazing knowledge and achievements he has laid the stepping stones in science and about our universe and concepts of time and space. Another unique man and great mind Maurits Cornelius Escher is 3 one of the worlds most famous graphic artists. He is most famous for his so-called impossible structures, such as Acsending and Descending, Relativity, Transformation, and Metamorphosis techniques he uses to play with gravity and dimensions and anything else he can alter to blow your mind when you look at his work. M.C. Escher, during his lifetime (1898-1972) made 448 lithographs, woodcuts and wood engravings and over 2000 drawings and sketches. Another unique trait about M.C. Escher something we have in common is that he was left-handed. M.C. Escher was not only a graphic artist, he also illustrated books, designed tapestries, postage stamps and murals. He had so many great works its hard to imagine all that time he took perfecting his skills. M.C. Escher was not always good at school, after failing his high school exams he was enrolled in the School for Architecture and Decorative Arts in Harlem. After only one week he decided he wanted to study graphic art instead or architecture. After finishing school he traveled through Italy settling in Rome for eleven years. He would continue traveling through Italy each year drawing and sketching for the various prints he would make when he returned home. M.C. Escher was one of 4 those great minds we know, he played with architecture, perspective, and impossible spaces creating a world with no boundaries that you can see throughout his work. Ansel Adams was another great mind who revolutionized photography as we know it. Born in San Francisco on February 20, 1902 Ansel Adams was musically gifted and taught himself how to play the piano.
