In both Macbeth and "Sonnet 94", the metaphors with flower are used to picture the comparison of what lies underneath. "Flower with base infection", propose by the poem, presents the idea that underneath a fine exterior one may be corrupted. "Look like the innocent flower But be the serpent under it", a speech by Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, which has perfectly illustrate the idea of things are not what it appears to be.
