Soccer

...had, I just kept playing and playing and playing without even a single thought about stopping. Soccer is my passion. I remember once I had horrible malaria and I was nearly dead because of it. I was sick for twenty days. I will never forget these days because during those twenty days I became so skinny that I never went outside; I could not walk or watch television or even eat properly. In that period of time the only thing that I missed so much was soccer. The most interesting thing was that after getting well I got into a provincial team. It was unbelievable and simply amazing to get into a provincial team. Moreover, another amazing thing was that I was the youngest player in there. When I was putting the jersey on I looked like a kid amongst the other players and I was proud. In each game I had a 15-minute chance to play in the game. I played for two years in that team but then I stopped because my family and I moved to Canada. We got in Canada at the start of winter. It was not that much cold. In fact, we arrived in Toronto on October 20/00 at evening. Then the immigration people took us to a beautiful hotel in Downtown. In the next three days I found a nice park, which was near to the hotel. I had two soccer balls with me to play with but I did not have any sneakers. A boy, who came with us, said that we could play without the shoes because there is grass in the park so there was no need to wear shoes. I never thought of that because I was thinking of the field with stones where I learned to play soccer. Anyway, we lived in the hotel for one and a half months and then, on Feb 5th of 2000, we moved to an apartment. I started to go to school but I could not play soccer because of the snowy whether. Until the summer, I could not play soccer but because of the school I never really thought about it. In the beginning of the summer, I found lots of beautiful soccer fields but there was no one to play with; then my cousin, who came here before us, told me that he had some friends who were playing soccer on weekends.
