The points are all important on the sign because they will help to prevent an injury. The points on the sign read: 1. Flat dives only – which mean no other types of entering the pool, are allowed e.g. a bomb. 2. Keeps hands together – this will help with streamline and will help the body enter the pool in a smooth way. 3. Arms extended – keeping arms out straight will help with not hitting the ball because you can feel it with your hands. 4. Protect your head – as above but try not to bang head while entering the pool. (All points above in italic are definitions that I have thought of and are not on the sign.) The target audience for the promotional material (sign) is young children and inexperienced swimmers.
