Shut Up
... appreciation and respect, our life develops healthy and strong. We must learn when to speak what to say and when to Shut up. Gossip Gossip is the number one plague that is destroying lives today. We all have helped it to spread at one time or another. There seem to be a sweet taste in being the first to share this news we just found out about sister so n so. (Proverbs 26:22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.) Gossip usually looks to build itself up at another person’s expense when they are not there to defend themselves. In the end it destroys, friends, families, relationships, and even causes death because we won’t Shut up. Grumbling Grumbling is another plague that spreads its infection among the brethren. Grumbling gives birth to criticism and complaining. Both of these tears down and never build up. The children of Israel lost their relationship with the Lord because of the desease of grumbling. Exodus 16:3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.Whether it is home, job, house car, weight, color of skin, finances or whatever, we should know that God is in charge and we are not complaining and grumbling against men but against God. Instead of grumbling we should look at the many blessings he has bestowed upon us and just Shut Up. Start praying If we understand that gossip is tearing down our neighbors we should ...
