should copyright be enforced?

After we download the music we can then create and burn our own cds with the music we want to hear. We can do all this without even paying a dime. This is not fair to whoever created the music. Copyright laws are supposed to protect the artist who wrote the song, not help the people who want to listen. I strongly encourage the termination of all file sharing networks in order for copyright laws to be enforced. We should continue to pay Matlock, 1 for the music we want to listen to, even if this prices increase in the future. Samuelson states that if you want to read an article in Time but do not subscribe to the magazine, why shouldn’t you have to pay 50 cents or more to read it, even at a library. I agree fully with her on this. The library subscribes to the magazine so a person should be able to go there and read it whenever they please. In doing this, they do not have to pay any money for reading the articles inside. Subscribers pay $29.95 for fifty-six issues a year. This is ripping the company off because they may lose money if less people subscribe. If a person believes they can go to the library and read for free, less people will subscribe. They know the library or local barber shop has them at arms reach. This is violating copyright laws because only the person subscribing should be able to read the magazine. This includes, not lending out the magazine or make copies for others to read. If you would like to read a magazine or make duplicates, a fee should definitely be applied. It is only in recent times that almost every household owns a computer. It is considered odd if you do not have one. Anytime you want you can dial up your internet and search about anything and everything.
