I’ve had a friend that encountered a situation were teachers thought he could not learn English. He came to the country recently and did not speak a word of English or understand anything in English. He made an effort to learn English in spite of what people thought. His goal was to learn English, and he achieved it because he was determined. I also had a personal similar experience. Over the summer, I had summer school and I was in an Algebra class and I didn’t know a thing about the course. We were learning about equations and I couldn’t learn it, so I went up to the teacher and said “I don’t understand equations and don’t think I can learn it because it’s too hard.” The teacher made sure that I learned systems of equations, and I thought I couldn’t learn ...
