...s each. As we waited for the season to start we started to shoot our bows so we could get a good hit if we got a shot at one. We also put our hunting clothes in the washer so they wouldn’t smell. Once we got the bows on target we were almost ready for the season. We still had to buy some calls, cover scent, and doe scent to be ready for that monster buck. During opening day of bow season I saw two does and a little spike. The spikes antlers were only about two or three inches long. I decide to let them pass in case I saw a bigger buck. The next morning my dad and I woke up at 4:30 so we could get out to our spots before sunrise but before we could do that we had to put on our gear which smelt like the fall air. When I climbed into my tree stand I strapped into my safety harness and waited. About a half-hour later I heard a crunch, crunch coming from my left side. Once I glanced over to my left side and I noticed a doe but since this season is during the rut there is buck bound to be following that doe. Once I saw that buck I knew that was the one I wanted to shoot. I knew it was the one because it was a perfectly typical 10 point with 4 points on each side and the brow tines were at least 6 inches tall. And then I slowly reached for my bow. After I grabbed my bow I stared to shake like a 12 inch subwoofer. I started to draw my bow back and I had put my sites right on the vitals of the deer but when I released the string I had jumped and missed the deer completely. The deer jumped, looked around and went back to following the does trail. I knocked another arrow and pulled back the bow again. I made a noise to try to stop the deer but it never stopped so the shot just became harder but I put my sites on him and released and nailed the deer in vitals a...
