... any animal you chose. Some ideas are koala bears, rabbits, and penguins. No matter what animal you choose there are 3 basic steps for creating a shell creature. Step 1: Collect Shells -You can either use real ones from the beach or buy real or fake ones from the store. Fake shells work best if you want a more perfect creature. Step 2: Experiment - You can experiment with different combinations to come up with a shape before gluing everything in place. Use polymer clay to test out different arrangements. You will want to build the body and head separately. This makes it easier to glue on the small body parts. Everybody part except the eyes are made of shells. The eyes are made of seed beads. Seed beads work best for the eyes because they make them bright. If you want a Stout body, you can glue a bivalve shell, such as a clam shell, together. Step 3: Glue Shells Together -First glue on small body parts such as the eyes, ears, nose, and paws. For these, you will want to glue them on using a paint brush.
