...a love girl named Helen Tucker; also Helen Tucker was his classmate. One day, his teacher was asking the class to donate for the Community Chest, but she didn・t ask Richard. Richard want to shown that he was a general boy; then he asked his teacher why she didn・t ask him. He told his teacher his daddy had given him fifteen dollars to donate. The teacher thought that he was joking, and she was teasing him in front the class. His teacher said he didn・t have daddy; then Richard left the school. What the teacher said made Richard think that he was lower class than the other people, and he didn・t want to go to school anymore. One of the author・s points is some people judge other・s ability by their appearances. One place where this is evident is the teacher thought Richard :was stupid. Couldn・t spell, couldn・t read, couldn・t do arithmetic; (Gregory 2), it definitely shown that Richard・s teacher was deeming him as a foolish student. Another evident is the teacher said :I don・t have time to be paying with you; (Gregory 3) when Richard wanted to asking why his teacher didn・t give him a chance to donate money, it show that his teacher was look down on his donation ability, since what the teacher did it show that she had a deeply know about Richard. That mean she should had a well communication with Richard; however one place is evident is :Teachers were never interested in finding out that you couldn・t concentrate; (Gregory 2), it reveal that she didn・t pay any time to communicate with Richard , that mean all the judgments that she made was just from his appearance. There are two evidences were show that his teacher was judge person ability by their appearance. First evident is Richard wear his :only clothes; (Gregory 2) everyday; second evident is :wish my hair wasn・t so nappy; (Gregory 2).they shown that Richard appearances doesn・t look like rich and smart. It should be the only reason why his teacher thought that he was not smart, and doesn・t have...
