Second admendment

...'m just roused up about some kind of conspiracy theory, but just stop and think for a second. Why should the government put such harsh restrictions on guns and more importantly, gun owners? Why do we need gun registration? Possibly because when the United States Military comes marching in to retrieve our weapons, they will know exactly where to go. The simple fact of the matter is that guns don't kill people, people kill people. Ban guns all day long so that god fearing, law abiding citizens cannot obtain them, and those same citizens will be shot down, unable to defend themselves against the criminal with an illegally obtained firearm. Same as with the Military example, we will not be able to defend ourselves against the government. But why on earth would anyone not trust their government, or at worst, want to turn the gun on it? Simple. If someone is trying to deny me of a right that has been inherited to me over two hundred years ago, I must approach cautiously, while at the same time looking towards the past. Many a life could have been saved had the Nazi's not forbade the Jewish people in Germany from owning guns or any other weapon. In this case, Hitler knew that an armed population would be more difficult to exterminate than one that would be defenseless. And the result was a quick, painful, gut-wrenching genocide. One history lesson of gun control in action. And history has the possibility of repeating itself. Just look at ex-Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic, facing charges of genocide for the "ethnic cleansing" committed against "unarmed" Kosovo Albanians in 1999. If it can happen halfway around the world, it can happen in your own backyard. What can stop something so infectious as the lust of power over some other person? And that is what seems to be the cause of genocide, at least it seems to be to me. And maybe I'm not approaching this whole matter at the right angle in the first place. Hopefully I am playing out a big drama in my head, for I never would want anything to happen to my family, my fellow Americans, or myself to the tune of what has been committed on humankind by humankind. But why take a chance, why let your guard down? I'm sure the Jewish people in Germany nor the Ethnic Albanians in Kosovo saw what happened to them coming. So before you even think it can't happen to you, it probably can. Now if you think I went off track, I'll come back for you but you still won 't like what I have to say. According to ruling in Warren v. District of Columbia (444 A.2d 1, 1981), the D.C. Court of Appeals ruled, "official police personnel and the government employing them are not generally liable to victims of criminal acts for failure to provide adequate police protection.this uniformly accepted rule rests upon the fundamental principle that a government and its agents are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any particular citizen.a publicly maintained police force constitutes a basic governmental service provided to benefit the community at large by promoting public peace, safety and good order." If that means that if someone comes into my house, my private house, with a gun and I call the police, they are not responsible for my family's safety and well being? If no, then how am I supposed to protect my household if gun control forbids ...
