It then combines with the river and goes down the river eventually emptying into a body of water. This raised the question with me of if they are draining the lake to get rid of the pollution, wouldn’t that pollute the river. According to my research and the code enforcement officer, it doesn’t. The reason it doesn’t pollute the river is it does not get the chance to settle. Algae can only grows in stagnant water. Also the algae is not the actual pollutant of the lake.
