School v.s. Prison
...paid for by our tax dollars. The difference is how the government regulates the funds that go to each place, and what kinds of things are sent to each building. It seems that school get more things towards teaching people how to live without crime. In prison they are spending money on how to correct the problems that these people have caused. School and prison are both places of rules and regulations. They both have a strict dress code. They both have rules against fighting. Both of them seem to want you to draw to a certain type of conformity. Whether it be conforming to be good and not to cause trouble, or if it’s conforming to do certain things you’re told to do. They both have people there to control the way you act among other people. School and prison are both places where you have really no choice on what you can do. School and prison are different in the types of punishment and order of time they have to do things. In prison a number identifies everyone. In school you are identified by a school i.d. card. The dress code in school is to prevent people to be able to work in an undistracted environment. In prison it is just a standard uniform. There are no sick days in prison. You can’t choose what you want to eat, nor can you pick when you want to leave. In prison you do not go home over night. In prison there are guards; we have hall monitors. In prison the only family you ever get to see is when there is visitation hours. In prison the most important thing you do is life weights.
