I will find out why recycle our clothes, and also I will find out what past sub -cultures, e.g. punk, hippy etc, and how we have modernised these sub – cultures, also I will find out if our present society and culture influences our fashion. Not only will I look at clothing, I will also look at home wear, music, TV and everyday items. The cross – cultural component for this Pip is across past decades, e.g., the nineteen sixties, seventies and eighties, I will be comparing the fashions of the times to today’s fashion to see what is similar and what has been modernised, and I will also see what era’s past decades recycled their fashions from. I will be breaking my Pip into different segments that involve different eras; this is so as I will then be able to go into more detail about a particular era’s fashion, and fashion influences of that particular time.
