He seems loyal to his friends, which could become deadly. He is doomed from the beginning, and even if Shakespeare hadn’t foreshadowed it in the chorus we could guess it from the first act alone due to the personality of Juliet and him. He seems like a very intelligent and witty boy however, one who it probably well liked among his friends, and one that most women probably like. In conclusion he is a tragic and doomed character from the beginning, but an oddly heroic and admirable one at that. The protagonist of the book Romeo and Juliet is a very interesting one, one with great depth in his character. He is a man who is quick to fall in and out of love with Rosaline and yet seems to be deeply, deeply in love with Juliet. He often seems confused and desperate for love in this act, but upon first sight of Juliet he quickly goes from being hurt and lonely to deeply in love at first sight. The protagonist seems to have problems controlling his emotions, he’s daring and adventurous and rather unconventional for the time period.
