...re peaceful people who are trying not to hate and help everyone to get along. Even though they do not like some of the white people, they are nice to them. Some of the secondary supporting characters are SImms; Mr. Simms, Lillian Jean Simms, and Jeremy Simms. THe Simms were all white people and prejudiced except for Jeremy who tried to be friends with the Logans. Mr. Granger was the man who leased out share cropping land to black people and took almost all of their money after the harvest. T.J. was the seventh grade boy who got everyone into trouble. The character that i really liked better than the others was Jeremy Simms. He is smart, mature, and also has good manner towards black people. Even though his family is what, he wanted to make friends with the Logans, which was pretty impressive. THe conflicts in Roll of Thunder Hear my cry are conflicts that could have actually happend in the 1930's. THe majoy conflict in this story is when two white kids beat up T.J. and accused him of robbing a store. THe two white kids were the actual robbers with stockings cover their faces. Then those two white kids went to T.J.'s house and tried to hang and burn his whole family. THe Logans try to stop this by setting fire to their own cotton field so everyone will stop and try to put the fire out before it reached their own land. THe conflicts in this book deal mainly with racism and the effects that it has on people and their lives. The turning point is when the Logan's cotton field catches on fire. THe whole even of the whole story and what is happening changes. Everyone around the fire was either trying to hang someone or trying not to be hung. WHen the fire st arted everyone changed what they were doing to put out the fire. The climax of this story is when everyone is helping to put out the fire; black and white, they al worked as one without hate or dislike. THeis would also be considered the resolution because the prejudice is gone for a moment. THe falling action is when the fire is out and everyone goes back to their homes. The themes...
