...he work that belongs to people. An important argument of the advocates of robot-operations is that they will reduce surgical mistakes. Of course that would be fantastic, but there are already cases in which the robots failed. Happily it turned out well, but what if a patient will remain injuried, or in the worst case die, caused by a robot’s mistake? The first problem is, is it possible for robots at all to make mistakes? No, of course not, you can only be mistaken if you can think and that is a human quality. The consequention of making mistakes is that someone is responsible for it, but robots can’t influence what they do by logical thinking, so they cannot be hold responsible for their errors. Thinking is not the only human quality which robots miss. The also cannot imitate the sense of feel. When we are talking about repairing a car that would not be a problem, but here it is about human-beings, in whose bodies we cut! Robots do not feel how hard they can push and grasp, so there is a possibility that they damage something in our vulnerable bodies. Vulnerable and thinking, that is what we are. People deserve respect, physically as well mentally. We saw before that robots fail in the phycical aspect, but they can not give any personal tint on their work either.
