Whether it's getting drunk, being alone or being in big crowds, the New Year holiday is the perfect epitomization of the variety our culture has to offer us. Instead of being limited to one or two options, our culture, as evidenced by this holiday, is full of choices, the ideal representation of a democratic body of people. The government does not intervene on this holiday nor does it change our minds. Our opinions are deviant and defiant at times, but no matter what, on New Year's day, this deviance is accepted as the norm. This is what makes our holiday the greatest.
