From that day on, he had been nicer to the guards that hurt him, kinder to the inmates that threatened him, and even more positive about his own state. Upon release, he did indeed commit his life to telling the gospel in the country, which had held him captive for so long. Then there was Mitsuo Fuchido. He was the head commander of the planes that bombed Pearl Harbour, and had become a national war hero after the attack. After escaping many near death experiences, such as leaving the city of Hiroshima, hours before it was bombed, and another occurrence on a boat. It was circumstances like these where Mitsuo began to wonder that maybe there was someone looking out for him. A few years later, at a train station, he got hold off the leaflet put out through DeShazers ministry and immediately went out and got a bible…within months, Mushito got saved. My response to the whole situation reflects more my opinion of God, then the two people involved. It proves to me that God not only has a sense of adventure, but also he picks those most unlikely to be willing to receive him. This whole idea makes me wonder how many vulnerable and eager people I pass up my own ministry, just because they seem “hard to get”. This story also brings up the point that sometime...
