Religion v.s cult
...requests a donation from all people attending the church. So the only difference is how the church operates inconspicuously. Take for example Benny Hinn he is said to cure people’s illnesses although no actual proof has been provided that the people he heals are actually ill to begin with. He puts on the big shows and makes millions for the church but does any of this money go to the church? No it goes to Benny Hinn who says that god has sent him a message telling him what to do with the money he receives. Were cults although they try and hide they’re operations a generally known to be “in it for the money.” Religion is said to be non-destructive but when the religion interferes with someone’s life to the point where the y are sacrificing the need to preserve themselves by seeking medical treatment is this not destructive? Example when a father’s daughter is dieing and needed an operation he went to the church and they told him how this was against the beliefs of the religion to perform the operation that would save the daughter...
