When your are excepted into the training program, the camp last 22 weeks with everything being paid for by the R.C.M.P (room and board, meals, insurance and all training) and from what I have bin told “it could possibly be the worst weeks of your life”, but “worth every minute”. After your 22 weeks at the camp you will be posted anywhere in Canada for the next two years to complete your field training. Cadets have no say in where they are posted for there two years. After you’re an R.C.M.P officer you still have to be will to work shits, weekend, and holidays, and this one sound dumb but will to carry a firearm and use it. The job out look for and R.C.M.P officer is vary high right now. With over 700 detachments across all of Canada they have no problem finding work.
