The only variable I will change is concentration of acid. Safety: I will wear goggles at all times and I will wash my hands after handling acid. PREDICTION: I predict that the more concentrated the acid the more faster the rate of reaction. HYPOTHESIS: A concentrated acid contains more acid particles which means that they will collide more often with the marble chips. More frequent collisions will increase the rate of reaction. RESULTS: CONCLUSION: After carrying out the experiment and investigating how concentration affects the rate of reaction. I’ve found out that the less concentrated acid you have the slower the rate of reaction. The more concentrated the acid the faster the rate of reaction.
