Another statistic that could be lowered if teens weren't permitted to drive states that 86% of teens that die in motor vehicle accidents are passengers and 65% of those accidents, the driver is also a teen. These high statistics show that some sort of action needs to be taken to prevent the increase in fatality rate in teens. It is obvious that they are more susceptible to automobile accidents. Motor Vehicle Accidents and Injuries Website state the top five types of Accidents with teens are: Collisions between vehicles, single car accidents, collisions with fixed object (telephone poles, guard rails, mail boxes, trees etc.), accidents involving pedestrians is number four, and collisions with trains is the final accident. The reason that these accidents occur is because the teens are not yet experiences or mature enough. Another main reason is because often teens get distracted by things. Now a days, its cell phones, the radio, other passengers, and even pedestrians catch the attention of young drivers.
