radio streaming
... started. However Corporate radio stations have become a bore. Aside from the fact that radio has given a lot in the past I have not been a big advocater of radio in the past years. They play the same old songs and horrible new bands. Not to mention they are only allowed to play certain songs from an album. When I came to CAL State Monterey Bay, I anticipated that there was going to be a radio station on campus. I was wanted to join and start my own show. I had no previous radio skills but growing up next to the Clairemont colleges I grew a large apetite for college radio. KSPC is the Clairemont college radio station and the play everything from Gothic music to Classical music. They are allowed to play almost anything they like to and I love that idea, no repetition! I wanted my friends to be able to listen while going about their daily lives. I understand that CSUMB is big on computer and the Internet but this was disappointing to me. I want to compare the importance and access between Radio Broadcasting and Internet Streaming. I want to learn more about the grand advantages of streaming and how popular it has become. When I went in search for the history behind streaming all I could find was ways to download stations. Their must have been way over dozens I am not quite sure but their was a lot. I did notice some huge advantages of streaming, anyone could host a show, there are no comercials, and you can here shows from all over the world. When I tried downloading some I got frustrated because there were so many. This is what I learned about Radio Internet Sreaming: It is the simultaneous transfer and display of the sound and images on the World Wide Web. Its ...
