Whales and other marine animals are often disturbed by whale watching boats, shipping, fishing, and recreational vessels. The pollution from these boats also cause harm to the animals and their food. Obviously if the whales eat polluted food they’ll die and there won’t be anymore whales to watch. Whale watching should be stopped at all costs. Only marine biologists should be able allowed to observe and study the whales up close. There are other ways to see whales. So what’s the point in disturbing their habitat? Without the marine biologists we’d have no understanding of the animals in our ecosystem, so they are important. We need them to inform us on what’s going on in the lives of the animals under the sea. The biologists know how to study the whales without harming them. Normal everyday people who go out whale watching don’t. Seeing whales up close is great, but we have to think in the benefit to the whales, not to us. There are other ways to see those beautiful creatures besides going on a whale watch. You can enjoy them through the internet, pictures, and films and T.V.
