Weapons are definitely a negative use of this technology. Miniaturized versions of guns, explosives, and missiles would be created, in addition to disassemblers which would be able to attack not only physical objects but also biological organisms on a molecular level. A major concern with this would be if these disassemblers got loose and started to destroy everything in thier path. The potential of these nanoweapons replicating without human control is possible. Nuclear bombs are bad enough, but at least they do not have the potential to replicate like a virus. Another problem nanotechnology could create is privacy issues.
