At this time Polonius comes in and has a conversation with Laertes. He gave advice such as to be careful in school, and don’t get into trouble. That included things like not borrowing/lending money to others, don’t get into quarrels, to think twice before he speaks. He also notified Laertes to wear good quality, but not too showy clothes so others would not give an alien impression. After Polonius had given his lecture, Laertes left to school. After Laertes has left, Polonius then has a conversation with Ophelia. Polonius too, doesn’t agree Ophelia being with Hamlet.
