Lastly the author talks about how patients go to hospitals with the idea that they will get better, however some get shoved into an early grave. The author of this article is Wesley J. Smith. The purpose of his article is to convince readers that the concept of euthanasia in the United States is bad. Wesley J. Smith’s article is based on facts, yet it is his opinion that euthanasia should not become legal in the United States. The author supports the idea the euthanasia is bad by giving examples of cases that have happen through out the United States. He gives examples on how doctors take advantage of their power to kill innocent patients. He generalizes on how all doctors would take advantage to live out their psychopathic instinct on patients if they had the right to kill them.
