Everyone says he is the greatest player to ever play in the NBA. Evaluation: The popularity of a belief doesn’t always mean that it is true. Here, it is known to the majority of the sports fans and analysts around the world that Michael Jordan is the best player in NBA history. He does have many accomplishments throughout his whole career, but it is hard to define who is the best player in the NBA. Do you define is as the most to score, the most MVP awards, or the most championships. Michael Jordan does not hold any career records for any of these statistical categories. However, what people have seen him do for the past 15 years while playing in the NBA and accomplishing what he has accomplished throughout his career does not mean it is false that he is the best player in NBA history. In this case the appeal to popular opinion is relevant because many people define greatest player in history, but because Michael is known to be greatest player ever because of what he’s accomplished, people take it as being the truth due to popularity. 3.
