...mpetitive and take every challenge very seriously. I never give up when I fail, instead I want to win at every situation and I feel hungrier for each challenge that I face. Another quality that I would consider a talent is being a good speaker, which makes it easier for me to communicate with others. Life is a big theater in which we, as actors, have different roles that we should play. Sometimes these roles are easy, but most of the time they are difficult and challenging. So, I went through many different experiences from which I have learned a lot. I grew up in America with a different cultural background, but I was not expected by mother to act totally like an American. It was unacceptable for me to dress the way the majority of teenagers dressed and acted. That whole process was difficult for me to live between to cultures. I did not want to appear off from my pears at school, but I could not act in the same way because of my family’s beliefs and culture. My mom is from the Sudan and in her culture women cannot walk around showing cleavage and or too much skin. So there was a struggle inside me to either accept or refuse their beliefs. Over time I learned to accept the way things had to be and be myself around others so they can see me for who I am. I gained the trust of my friends and I feel proud of the understanding I have between my friends. I used to think of my self as a smart person who was also lazy. In middle school, I had very good grades because there was a lot of competition between the students in the classroom, which motivated me to be very competitive and to get good grades. But when I got to high school, I was in an environment where I got caught up in the wrong crowd; it was also an environment with less competitiveness so that made me care less about my grades.
