Personal Challenge

... Homework assignments were pretty easy for me because I got a lot of help from teachers and parents. But when it would come down to the test I would usually fail not because I wasn’t ready but because I relied on others to help me and tell me whether or not I was doing it right. If I did fail the test the teacher would usually tell the students to get it signed by a parent and correct the ones that were wrong. So I had to tell my parents because it would make my grade even worse without the signature. As each year goes on I’ve learned a lot but the hard part is remembering all the rules that apply with algebra and geometry and any other kind of math. In eighth grade you either took Algebra I or Pre-Algebra. Your seventh grade teacher determined which class you went into and I was told to go into pre algebra. There was only one class of Algebra students, so you had to be pretty good in math to be in algebra. During my eighth grade year my teacher and I both came in early, gave up our lunch hour and time after school to go over recent assignments or anything that I wasn’t understanding.
