...honor. This will earn you respect, not just from the school, but from the city as well. To graduate high school as the elite exhibition drill team is a memory that will live with you forever, and something you will be able to tell your friends, family, and hopefully even your kids. Going out there with our spirits high, we will try our best to prove everyone wrong. Prove to all those people who thought that Holy Innocents Mustangs aren't worth their time, to the other teams, who, in a million years never thought that we would be able to take first place, and finally to ourselves. We will prove that we are just not a third place team, that when they are judging our routine with the rest of them, they are overlooking ours and paying more attentions to those who don't deserve it. Look back in the past Mustangs, look back to what we've been through. We have bonded like no other team has throughout in this whole school! A bond that is so strong, we can look at each other as brothers and sisters, and we know each other in this team like no one else knows us. We've practiced through good days, bad days, sunny days, and even rainy days. We practiced when no other team did, we practiced when all the other teams pointed fingers as they made fun of us, but most of all, we practiced as a team. This team has more dedication and more motivated than any other team throughout this whole school! Those Saturdays that you gave up to practice instead, and still maintaining at least a 3.0 Grade Point Average. Look back during those practices, look back at the times when the 13 lb.-rifle seemed unbearably heavy, remember the times when I got frustrated at one person, and the whole team would be running laps, including me. No one hated that person, it just taught us that we should work harder as a team, and it also gave us the opportunity to bond. We have been with each other for about at least three hours a day, and even more when we count the weekend practices. From these nine months, I wouldn't want you to just take with you an experience like everyone else's who's been in the JROTC Drill Team in the past years, I want you to be able to take with you a new kind of experience. An experience like no others. An experience that puts everything else to shame. By getting first place in the annual competition tomorrow, will do just that for you.
