Ultimately this will result in the killing of many innocent civilians. Assisting in war would be helping to kill hundreds of innocent Iraqi’s, which from a moral and ethical stand point is utterly wrong. As the Lord said “ Love thy neighbour”. The whole world is Canada’s neighbour, and we must learn to settle our differences in a peaceful manner. Over the years, Canada has become well known for our peacekeeping. The respect we have gained from peacekeeping as brought to our countries citizens a true sense of pride. To side with the U. S would be destroying everything that our Canadian peacekeeping mission stands for. Looking at this from a political view point raises suspicion about the amount of evidence the U. S claims to have on Iraq. The United Nations weapons inspectors have not provided enough evidence to support the claim that Saddam Hussein is hiding weapons of mass destruction.
