Such as Aide, Community Relations Assistant, Health Technician II, Instructional Assistant, Instructional Assistant – Bilingual, Instructional Assistant… and many more. Commentary: The School Board meeting was very interesting because I have never been to any local government function ever. The meeting was a very good learning experience for me because I never knew that when there is a problem the problem is handled in that manner. It’s amazing because it acts as a little sub-government which operates very similar to the US Government and how issues are passed in a debatable and meaningful way. I liked how if you had something to say you could speak for a allotted time of about three minutes and you had your say and I thought it was a very efficient and fair way to let people in on the action. City Council Meeting Summary: The City Council meeting was very similar to the School Board Meeting because they started off by taking roll and saying the pledge and there were a couple of presentations, one was to our Liberian who is retiring from 29 years of work at PHS. Then there were some Proclamations for this week and this month by the Mayor of Poway. After all this was done the real meeting started up. They went over four public hearings, which were all very interesting. Such as this topic: “1. Ordinance No. 577 – First Reading, entitled, “An Ordinance of the City of Poway, California, Amending Poway Municipal Code Chapter 10.36 to Create Two Mid-Block Crosswalks” and Consideration of All-Way Stop Controls on Tierra Bonita Road at Ipava Drive and Donart Drive.
