...ring Orwell’s time there were people who thought that they could control everything and everyone. Stalin was one of these people and one of his best works, “Animal Farm,” was aimed solely at Stalin and his way of controlling people. In “Animal Farm” Orwell shows how the ideals and the ideas that a new leader can start off with drastically change when they get hold of their power and do anything to keep it. This shows how one man can not be trusted without all that power and how that even though they may start off with on the right track they will become corrupt and thirst for the power doing what they like to do be as comfortable and happy as they can. Orwell writings about power weren’t very successful during his time because the people in power at that time didn’t have the strength or the courage to stand up or support these things because they were afraid of the deprecations. Even though these people in power might have believed deep down in the things that Orwell wrote about and has been remember for. This is shown today in our society by countries being to afraid to stand up to the super power, The United States of America, and how these countries have blindly followed them into war in the past and will continue to do because they are to afraid to what might happen if they stand up for what is right and not for what America think is right. George Orwell’s works can also be seen as a warning to what can happen to our world and to be careful that we support a leader with the character to not be overcome by the power and become power hungry but to stay true to what he said he was going to do for his people. This is particularly relevant in the 21st century because with all the new technology and destructive capabilities that many countries have it is very important that these nations are controlled and that these nations don’t come under the power of some power hungry, oppressor that wants to take over the world. This responsibility an be largely be given to the people of these nations that they have the strength and the courage to stand up for their rights and to stand up for what they actually want their nation to become.
