So by substituting some of the wording to make the statement more business related, the new statement may read as: “Personal commitment of loyalty, patriotism, discipline, and efficiency, all of which breed confidence in self and in coworkers. Most of all personal achievement is promoted by unity – unity in service to the company and in the determination to attain the objective of company success. Personal commitment is at the one and the same time the strongest, and the most delicate of growths. Personal commitment withstands shocks, even company failures, but can be destroyed utterly by favoritism, neglect, or injustice. To foster a proper personal commitment in the company is an undertaking worthy of continuous effort by the company and self commitment.” This statement in its own way describes what Organizational Behavior is; identifying and caring to the needs of the employees will help the company’s success increases. When the employees self esteem/morale is high in motivation, then the employees personal commitment to the companies goals increases. But when the self esteem and/or morale is low it is more likely that the company will fail.
