Honestly, I throw it out the window or roll it up and toss it. Having asked the question to random people, the majority agreed and responded with the same or similar response. Consider that your average pack has five pieces. Then multiply that number by the average packs you buy monthly and by the number of people who buy chewing gum. That is a plethora of gum wrappers piling up. By this we must learn to better respect our environment. Our environment is constantly changing due to the unmindfulness of belligerent people. When one throws that wrapper out of the window, it is not realized the domino effect it has. We become oblivious of how the little things add up to larger more complex circumstances and of how extremely important our surroundings are. Our surroundings effects our mood, and the air we breathe. Human nature appears rather non-resourceful, consuming up all resources in one area to consume another, a definite aspect of not conserving the peace of our environment. This conservation of the environment deals with injustice with the fact that when one buys or consumes something, they contribute to the loss of something else. So, when we eat or buy something we need to understand and acknowledge the loss. How many trees suffered their life giving presence to wrap that piece of chewing gum. Trees serve as a source of air and habitats for various species. When thousands of trees are lumbered, our air is less cleaner and various species are deprived of their homes. Without habitats the animals have to adapt to new sources. While for those who cannot, their evolution may lead to extinction. Also it will take hundreds of years for that forest to grow back and fulfill like it used to. I am not presenting that the lumbering of trees is bad, it is the abuse of the source and the ungratefulness that draws me to this conclus...
