Off to College
...ouch anyway. Over the summer I collected everything I would need for my first semester at college. Bath towels, wash clothes, clothing, desk lights, extra long sheets for my bed, a computer, a refrigerator, and a collection of pens and pencils. I was ready for the next phase of my life to begin. It took two car loads to get all my stuff up to Rider. And as we rolled up to the Conover dorm, their was a team of upper classmen waiting to carry everything in. I found my RA and, he walked me over to C105, my new home for the next couple months. I opened the door and glanced in. It looked more like a prison room then a dorm room. White concrete walls, hard floors, and a bed mattress that looked like it was from the 1970’s. Five minutes didn’t pass before my roommate came walking in. Just by the initial conversation I knew we would have a lot in common. We spent most of the day just making the room look and feel better.
