It also makes you share the same feelings about the main character as the narrator because it portrays the character as he see him, but if it were done from another point of view, the image may change.In The Secret Life of Walter Mitty the narrator tells the story so that you are unsure of what is really happening that day and what Mr. Mitty is simply daydreaming about. For instance, the story starts off describing a Navy crew following the orders of a Commander in order to get a Navy hydroplane out of a storm. The scene is described as if it was happening at that moment and the narrator is right there experiencing it, however the next paragraph tells of Mrs. Mitty saying Mr. Mitty is speeding and the whole scene was only in Mr. Mitty’s thoughts, not actually occurring.
